I must be the only one who thinks this looks like a bad attempt to break the touchscreen PMP market, I can see so many mistakes with this.

iRiver is already in the touchscreen market. See SPINN, P7. This hopefully is their first WiFi enabled player, and I wish it well. I'll buy one when I can and let you all know how iriver-ish it is. Competition is a good thing.

But the spinn was a sad attempt at a touch screen though, if we're honest.

mine just arrive today, the box and the design of player is very beautifull. the design looks very Luxurious. the housing use something solid similar to samsung P3 not a plastic like S9 . i can say that this player is one of the most beautifull player i have ever seen.
when first time open, i feel that this player is support vibration like Samsung player. Then you will see 3 pages on the desktop player similar to cowon S9 and samsung player
any question can ask me, but please use beginner english


Features that i found:
- Windows CE
- Vibration
- Loudspeaker
- Memory card MicroSD
- G-sensor
- Wifi
- DMB tv digital for korea
- Tistory (dont know what is this)
- Favorite/Ranking/Rating feature (i think need computer, cannot straight from player)
- add to quiclist like zune feature
- Widget , UCI, themes
- Internet feature (plus can use internet feature as Widget on your desktop, example: Weather, News, etc)
- Has record Recent history like Zune but better for me
- Comic Viewer
- Whiteboard
- Support pdf adobe acrobat (maybe microsoft office too because have windows CE )
- Standard features like FM radio, recording, custom EQ (and SRS wow)
- Lyrics
- Good quality screen
- Touch calibration like Archos PMP player

You don't need to speak a perfect english to say the MB1 is better ahaha (okay no wifi but the interface is more beautiful)
At least you could make a photo preview with the interface in english language as I did it for the Samsung R1

a little more review:
- Wifi is not as good as Ipod Touch, ipod touch is still the best for wifi experience
- the sound is a little strange, the 3D feeling is high, its make me remember the sound signature of Ultrasone`s headphone, you will love it or hate it. If you love Ultrasone sound signature, then this is for you.
- battery life is short, but the charging time is not short
- The Screen is good but still cannot beat the king of screen in the DAP market right now (Samsung M1 and Zune HD)

it is around $300 for 16gb (dmb and wifi version)

LAS VEGAS--Iriver fessed up to plans for its latest portable media player, the Smart HD. The touch-screen player is due out in Korea at the end of January, and includes a 3.5-inch screen, along with Wi-Fi, a calculator, a voice recorder, a Web browser, FM radio, music playback, and a slew of supported video formats (MKV, Mpeg4, XVID, WMV, and H.264).
The Smart HD will actively transcode most HD videos down to the screen's 480x320-pixel resolution. There's no word on whether the Smart HD will include TV output capabilities to make HD video resolutions worthwhile.
Details on pricing and U.S. availability are still unknown.

I recently got the iriver Smart HD. Nice player and iriver have done a good job, sound quality is nice and yes the player does play 720p HD video.

I have tested MKV HD, WMV HD and MP4 HD and all work fine. I think the player may only support 2GB files though.

I don't know, the interface seems more choppy than even Ainol players, despite the lower resolution. :S
