Yea, it isn't the most striking look, but then again, 3.5 inches isn't bad...
But yea, details would be nice... im sure ABI can turn something up for us...

Its looking a bit like iPod Touch on the screen side (what with that small rounded corner square button below screen) & S9ish at the back, eh!

But wifi, mkv, mp4, h.264 etc sound good!

the back of K1 body also use that kind of material.... what is the name of that special aluminium? (similar to zune hd, samsung p3, hisound amp3 and front screen of R1)

Anodized aluminum. A treatment like paint but better, and not special aluminum.

maybe its just been rendered at a bad angle (possible?), but it looks just a bit too podgy for my liking. I'd say the S9 has the absolute limit for a pocket player; after that its just too impractical to carry round a large device alongside a wallet and phone

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. And I'm also not a big fan of the way the back curves.

It looks like it uses the same screen as the Touch and was inspired by the curve of the S9 (but didn't want to copy directly). Perhaps the thick middle gives more room for battery. One thing a player could use to best the Touch is great battery duration.

At least it has WiFi, how far behind is Samsung and Cowon on that front?

samsung and cowon didnt want add wifi to reduce cost, not because they cant, its not hard to add wifi feature, but for UCI, not all companies can do that

I don't think cowon added wifi because none of there recent players benefit from it.

The s9, 02, how would they have benefited from it.

The new v5 could benefit from it as it's running win ce 6.0 not sure if it has it or not.

Not since Clix days have i liked a design from iriver but this look good
however i think is a clone between sammy's p3 and Cowon s9
is the screen amoled?

Good about UCI themes atleast iriver is adding that not like Sony that ignore Uci's
