Help Third party apps suddenly fail to run?

I put a bunch of apps on my Zune from zhdapps. They worked fine for a few days, and now it reboots when I try to run any third party apps. For a fraction of a second, it displays "this item is missing or cannot be played". This happening to anyone else or what is going on?

I guess i had a similar problem where mine wouldnt run the third party apps and would just freeze with the Zune symbol. I first tried to redownload them and that didnt work so i completely reset it and redownloaded they worked fine after that.

Edit: The apps were also running fine at first then they just stopped working.

Strange... Firmware bug? And are you saying to reinstall the firmware or just reboot and redownload?

Just as a test. Try setting your date to like a week ago. Well it could be date related.

Will run a test when I get back from a client...

Well... just so I'm clear - the user installed a bunch of third party apps from a website, and now the device doesn't behave as expected? Not deflecting blame here, but consider that the developer perhaps has done something in their app to contribute to this.

If you can tell me the app, I can have one of our guys look into it...

Cheers, Dave.

Dave, its not just one third party app. It was all of them. Every single one suddenly couldn't run...

I have this problem occasionally. I just delete the 3rd party app and then redownload it. Never had all my 3rd party apps messed up though.

Hmm, that IS weird. Do you know which was the last to be installed?

Cheers, Dave.

Oh... Sorry... Didn't see that someone replied to this one... Umm, not quite sure which one was installed last, but after reinstalling the firmware and reinstalling the apps, it has worked for a while now. Strange things happen to my Zune every so often, such as I was using my Zune and went to play music, but it played in extremely low quality sound, regardless of the mp3 quality. I rebooted and it was fine... I believe it was right after watching videos for about 44 minutes...not to mention, quite often, my Zune will suddenly and without cause reboot... I don't know. Maybe you guys could look over the firmware a bit and do some bug smashing?

Oh, goddamn... Happened again... Installed that new app compilation app on zhdapps. When I went to run it, it immediately rebooted the Zune and now no 3rd party apps will run... This is starting to piss me off...

This also happened to me on A Beanstalk Tale. After running it about 15 times it refused to run and the Zune would reboot. After reinstalling the app however It works, don't know if the same problem will occur again because I have only ran it a few times.

I think the problem is within the firmware... The biggest problem I have with this is like on the beanstalk game... My hard work to get some good high scores now was for nothing (except for having fun playing a game, of course)

Is there a special situation in Beanstalk Tale when your Zune crashes? You 2 guys are the only ones who mentioned this problem though. The game has been downloaded several thousand times from my website though. So I can only guess that the problem is not related to the game-code. But I will definetely take a look at it if you recognize something special that is reproducable.
