Ok so here's exactly what happenned.
My headphone jack crapped out and went mono, so I: 1) Openned the P2 up and applied the solder fix, problem solved 2) Took it snowboarding (Temperature 0 Celcius, did not fall on it) 3) Used iPhone usb wall charger to charge P2 battery All this happenned on the same day, and today when I turn it on I get the dead battery symbol, lol. So I don't know if its some solder that splashed on the PCB, or the cold. But 0 Celcius shouldn't be a problem, I don't think. Can anybody tell me which one of these probably killed my battery and if 'reviving from the dead' really works? Thanks guys |

If you get an image on the screen, then obviously the battery still works to some degree...maybe it just wasn't plugged in properly the first time. Try charging it again and see.
It may sound stupid, but sometimes the simplest solution is the best one. ![]() If that doesn't work, try opening the case again and check for any connection problems or damage to the battery.

Hmm, ya I will give that a go. And I guess I should correct myself, what I meant is that it discharges within minutes, don't even think of leaving it to sit for half an hour

so what would i have to look for to check for damage to the battery?

So what you mean is that the battery cannot hold a charge, right?
If so, I would open it again to check if the battery is connected properly. I'm not sure of what else there is to check, but just generally check if it looks the same as before.

Hmm, ya actually I think that is what I mean. Your right, It wasn't plugged in properly BUT i just gave it a full charge and its bleeding the charge rather quickly. It been one hour and its already half way through.
Thanks for all your help! |

glad to help.
![]() but if it discharges that quickly, then something might still be wrong with the battery. Try using it regularly for a few days and see if there is any change. If there isn't, then there is definitely something wrong with the battery, and I wouldn't know what to do anymore...
