Help Need Help with Purchase!

OK, I'm planning to get a Clip+ (2GB) for $30 from Amazon.
I have a more money I want to spend on accessories, max. $20.

With this, I can either get...
  1. Earphones (In-Ear, or not, doesn't Matter)
  2. Earphone Amplifier
  3. MicroSD Card
Now, I don't think the Amp will come into much use, because the Clip has such good audio anyway. The only amp in this price-range are the FiiO amps anyway. (Are they any good? XD)

The MicroSD card would be a good investment, because I'm sure to run out of onboard memory.

The Earphones would also be a good choice, because the bundled earphones (I hear) aren't that great...

I'm leaning toward getting Earphones. Could someone direct me toward a decent, around $20 pair of earphones? I am not an audiophile, but I'd like to have an alternative to the bundled earphones.

The clip doesn't need the amp to drive iem's, look for the best iem's you can afford or save your money. As far as included buds go, the sansa clips origional one's were very good for inexpensive buds, but I don't know if they've changed them since the clip + roll out.

If you don't mind waiting for delivery, the SoundMagic PL30/PL20/PL12 are all very nice low budget earphones.
You should probably check www.head-fi.org for more comprehensive suggestions.

Skip the Fii0's for now.
Get a 2GB uSD for around 5$ and spend the rest on the nicest pair of earphones you can afford

You can get an 8GB microsdhc card for $11 or $12 online if you search around. I wouldn't waste my time with a 2GB.

And I wouldn't get the 2gb player. Pay a little more and get at least 4gb or even 8. If you do any voice or fm recording that goes into the player memory. If you can use the buds that come with the unit they're ok. I can't use that type, I see everyone else just pop them in their ears (including my grandkids), but none of them stay in my ear. I'm using the type that you push in your ear, not ideal for me but convenient to carry around. I also got some Sony padded headphones. Didn't realize the cord was so long but they sound good.

I don't know where you are located, but I clicked on that link and the three top listings were $11+change, and the next two were $12+change.

Four of the links on that page lead directly or on the next click after that to Amazon.com, which has free shipping.

How about posting a link here
I just rechecked. Every link charges shipping.

I'm pretty sure about these prices coz i just spent thanksgiving trawling the net for deals on class6 8gig cards. ended up netting the transcend on newegg for 15bucks shipped. All that trawling told me that I got a great deal on not just a class6 but, any class.

This is a froogle for 8gig cards on Amazon.

Just the first link is below 15. Its for 11 and tacks on 6 bucks for shipping.

Please don't include Amazon Prime in your costing.

This is an amazon search with the following filters -> Electronics › "8 gb microsd" › New › Free Super Saver Shipping › Under $25 › Camera & Photo
http://www.amazon.com/gp/search/ref=...qid=1260263724
Theres nothing for less than 15bucks with free ship

OK, I went back and looked a little more closely, and you were right....there was some fine print I had missed before. Still, the 8GB is cheap enough that it would be silly to buy anything smaller, even if it meant waiting an extra week to save a couple more dollars.

Yep, been disappointed many times to find a nice price on microSD cards especially, at Amazon and then to find the shipping charges getting rid of the super deal (but still nice deals). Having said that, it seems like 8gb microSD cards have fallen price-wise in the past few months, by 10-20%. Would be nice to see 16gb cards at that low pricepoint!
