Bwahahahaha! Totally agree with CNET's audiophile guy for once: haven't heard of TDK since the days of tape dubbing, and I really can't say that this new entry strikes me as overly fulminant.

I'd rather have a JVC Kaboom than this overpriced TDK fingerprint magnet with no speaker protection.

My kaboom was less than half the price they quoted of $499.00 and it's still rocking strong

Yeah, and I prefer the non-apple model. It's also got more power 52 watts vs 40 watts for the newer model.

Interesting, I didn't know that change as I never read the specs on the apple one as it didn't interest me.

Yeah the older models are much better, you get real deep bass out of them. My friend has one of the first models and its so different from the new models.
