If you purchased your X series outside of U.S., you should have 1.02.

U.S. versions are 1051 and 1061 and has 1.00 version.

Hi guys

1 more question - Do we really need to move everything out of the player for the upgrade? I definitely dont want to spend time reconverting videos......

All my music and videos was still on the player after upgrade, only difference i have noticed was the internet browser.
after upgrade i got NetFront 3.5, cant remember what version it was berfore.
the speed of the browser is way better. but it still sucks.

and come on, who bought a sony player for it's browser :-P

Agree... However couple of apps like an alarm or a timer would have been great any day.
So looks like this upgrade is not worth at this time......

Would someone be kind enough, and upload the new firmware for me, please?

Don't know why, but everytime I try to download it, no matter where it's from, I simply can't!!

The message "corrupted file ... Try again" always shows up.

Has someone faced the same problem?!

U might state which version you need, US or Europe?

Anyway, here is the european version of the update, only use it if you have a european Walkman X ! or you lose the slacker radio ...
