Default S9 Not working Correctly. Customer service is stumped as well

I have a 16 Gb S9 and one day I turned it on and nothing showed up. No movies, no music no anything. Usually it is fairly full. When I connect it to my computer (XP Windows PC) everything is in there. I tried updating firmware. Didn't do anything. Tried formatting it in windows by doing rick click and format. Then re-added a few songs and movies. Still nothing. God any ideas? I contact cowon support but they don't seem to know what's wrong either.

Try to reformat using the Pansonic formatter, instead of the Windows formatter:

Also, you formatted it as FAT32, correct? NTFS wouldn't work.

I'm having a similar problem. I turned it on, and the last music I was listening to was cleared and the lil file browser icon is flashing green with a bouncing arrow next to it (just like when I first got it). Same deal with video.

When I browse and attempt to go into a folder to find a song to play, or go into albums or or artists, etc, it freezes...

Looking in the Flash section it shows a very long list, but each item says "Flash" and none of them are my files.

I've updated the firmware, and it didn't make a difference. I've loaded the defaults from the System menu, no difference either.

Any ideas anyone? I'm really upset and annoyed!

EDIT: Fixed it up. No idea what caused it, BUT I backed up my stuff, formatted it normally with Windows, rebooted the S9, reconnected it to the PC, copied the System folder back on and it retained my custom settings and UCIs. Loading all my music and so on now...
