I hope you don't think it's "well grammar"...

But just in case you do...

Good is an adjective that qualifies or describes a noun.
Well is an adverb that qualifies or describes a verb.

In this case, "grammar" is a noun so "good" is the appropriate modifier.

Yeah, when I first saw the ad I thought they were saying funniest as 'funnest' is a superlative which doesn't exist.

You know how a lot of the times, people will say to use "well" instead of "good". For example, "you did well", instead of "you did good".

I was just making fun of the situation by using that same rule. But purposely wrong.

I was just making sure it was indeed purposefully wrong cause there are still many people that don't understand the distinction. In that case, well IS the proper word because it is modifying a verb ("did" in your example and not the noun "you"). In this case, grammar is a noun so good is the modifier of choice. I fully understand the joke, as long as it was done on purpose cause I can easily see people on the net making that "correction" that is obviously wrong. haha

Me neither. High Five!

My interweb grammar is only good enough so that people can actually understand me. I reserve my proper, formal english grammars for the classroom.

Oh and Sumx, I was just clarifying because I've sen many instance where people completely MISSED my joke, and honestly thought that I was illiterate or something....

I never correct anyone's grammar although my degree is in English Lit.

If they can make themselves understood that's all I need to care about.

I wasn't actually even correcting, i just wanted to clarify that it was a joke cause you never know. Then i just took the opportunity to explain the rule for those not in the know because my English skills are above average. (I scored a 34 on the english SAT section but then became an engineer, go figure)

As for me, I am too anal. My writing is not that good constructively (Even though in high school my grammar teacher suggested I go to a school for people gifted in writing), but when it comes to capitalization I am some sort of a Nazi.
