Well if this is true then this is a huge letdown

I was hoping they'd at least release one with different/fewer features...

On the other hand I still have an iaudio9 to look forward to
Never mind the iaudio9 still has a crummy touch pad

make thing worse is... even though u can get this model series, but the player doesnt support english language ....

I'll be seriously pissed off if the 64GB A doesn't arrive in Europe. I don't want a 32GB player, or 2 of them.

If this isn't released in the USA I'll sign off on Sony PERMANENTLY!!!! I will no longer buy their products, screw that!!!! No A Series in 64gb, no more will I be a customer!!!!!

i dont understand why sony dont want create universal player, i think its not hard to make a player to support english, no need extra cost

I will be extremely disappointed if the A series is for Japan only. To me this shows that Sony is a racist company.

I would be heartbroken and felt betrayed for all the sony mp3 players I have bought throughout the years.

My 2 players should last a while... I'll wait and see what happens, but I'm not getting a 32GB new S just because they won't release the A over here.

32GB won't be big enough - and that's just audio.

I could be quite content with a 32GB player. I'd trade the S545's speakers for an extra 16GB in a heartbeat.

that PMP from Sony China also looks interesting, 4.3inch screen, 32gb, support memory card, and yes... for China only...

Like you, I don't understand why Sony doesn't create a universal player. It shouldn't be difficult to do so, and it would save them from having to create multiple versions of the same player just because they are going to different countries (just tweak the defaults a bit). I hope that this ends up being the common "one area of the world gets the newest players before the others" and these players do eventually arrive in the U.S. in roughly their current forms.

I also agree that not bringing these two new series of players to the U.S. is very disappointing. Overall, I've been very pleased with my Sony players (except for the E-Series) and was looking forward to another one when it comes time to replace my current player.

However, with this development I will now consider other brands of players when it's time for a replacement/upgrade. Based on my reading in these forums, there are a number of excellent sounding players currently available, and I'm sure there will be many more when it comes time for a new player.
