We made plenty of players but the demand has simply exceeded our forecasts. There are lots more Zune HD players in the pipeline which is fine for future customers however our attention is currently focused on getting you the products you have ordered as quickly as possible.
My sincere apologies again for the delays.

PS> I noticed some people still having issues with the Zune Marketplace codes. Please note that you have to access your account through www.Zune.net (not through the Zune software). Once you get into your account, click on the redemptions link and enter the code. If it doesn't work, I want to know about it so send me a note directly with the code (please do not 'reply all' or post your code publicly). We can check your code in the system and give you a new one if needed.

Be patient, as the last time MS screwed up the orders from Zune Originals the people got them for free. It was for a special Valentines Day Zune 80 I believe. I kicked myself for forgetting to place the order for it for weeks (I would have been 1 of the people to get a free Zune!!!). Relax, MS rewards patience. I'll give them credit for that - apple wouldn't even consider doing such a thing!!!!

Personally...

I'm absolutely thrilled that demand for the ZUNE HD demand is so high that they can't seem to keep up (at this point), it sure has the kiddies on the APPLE/iPod forums in an uproar - :-)

Understand that I do empathize with your desire to get the player you want, though are (currently) unable to do so.

I hope it helps that your patience will be be well rewarded once you do get your ZUNE HD... It really is That Good!

Still though no information sucks. Hopefully we get it from them tonight or tommorow like they said. I wonder how fast they will ship

Yea was trying to quote it but wasn't workin.

The $15 is nice but it sucks that it took so long to be fixed. Hopefully they are shipped tonight like they are saying. i'm one of the first on the list we had compiled. Who knows though at this point

Yup , its going to take 3 weeks for me to get my order. Oh and the $15 token does not work.

I am not ordering from microsoft every again and I will advise others never to buy from zune originals. I'm sorry but this experiance is just getting worse.

I ordered mine last tuesday. It took over a week for them to actually send me an email and it will take over 2 weeks time for them to even ship the device out. I may not get my device for almost 3 weeks.

I could have gone with dell and saved $50 bucks

Im wondering how long would it take for the Zune HD to get to Canada if it ships from Zune Originals to USA, then to Canada? I just hope I get it in time for Nov5, my Bday

Might not be able to count on it.
And I was mad at Newegg for being a day late after I had pre-ordered it. They gave me a $25 refund back to my credit card for being one day late-now I wish they had been 2 weeks late.
Perhaps the Zune Originals Team needs to have some internship time at Newegg, see why Newegg ranks at the top in customer service rankings each year.

I'm not pissed at the delays so much as the constant problems and lack of information. It took over a week for them to email me of any problems , the code doesn't work and the posts from last night by the head of ZO were false as its obvious that orders are not yet shipping and wont for another 3-4 days. Unless they are shipping out of order.

well this is happening to everyone who ordered ZO, isn't it?
I am pretty sure I am one of the very first customer because I ordered mine on last Tuesday around 12:04 am - as soon as ZO site opened, and just received an email saying that my order will be shipped within next 3-4 days.
I was expecting mine to be shipped yesterday night because this is what ZO director told us so yesterday - they were supposed to start shipping the orders yesterday night.
plus, my code does not work either.

I don't know if it works , the zune site is barely working for me. however you should have the zune original guys send out an email stating it works only through the site because the directions are for the pc client.

So an update - the ZO team will be sending out updated instructions (to redeem your code on Zune.net, not the PC client) and there'll be updated shipping instructions.

I'm reliably informed that most folks will have their units shipped out very, very soon. I don't want to commit to a timeframe since it will vary based on when you've ordered - but individual emails will be coming really soon.

Nobody should be waiting anything like 3 weeks to get their devices - that I've been assured of.
