S9 32gb Display Screen will not turn off all the time?

My S9 32gb has a problem with the display screen, I have it set to turn off in 5 sec and it usually stays on. Also some times when the screen actually does turn off and I touch the OEM S9 leather carring case the screen will come back on.

So far I have tried the re-set as well as trying the 10 sec and 5 sec display turn off settings and have the same problem. It seems to happen more when I have the player laying flat. When its verticle it works ok perhaps 70% of the time.

Also when it does work it never seems to shut off the display in 5 sec, the screen will get a little dimmer in 5 sec and that is it and usually gets bright again.

I spoke to Cowon and they tell me to send it back in, I'm sick and tired of sending the players back to them as I have had my D2 back there twice since I had it and do not want to tie up the S9.

Anyone think that this could be a software issue or perhaps a fix is available w/o returning the unit?

Re-flash the firmware and see if it helps. Otherwise, if there is something wrong w/the player, you'll have no choice but to rma it.
