Creative Zen X-Fi2 - Memory Card Still Not Integrated

If you watch the UI demo you will see that the memory card slot works just like the other Zen players. It is only used for transferring content from the microSD to the main memory. This means the microSD slot is useless for expanding your memory.

Memory not being integrated was the single thing that uses complained about the most. Why isnt this fixed yet?

The Engadget piece said this was just a stop-gap player.. Still, I'd have expected this to be fixed.

Stopgap meaning its the player in between to their last player and the future released Zii.

It wasn't fixed though the life cycle of the Zen Vision W, Zen, nor the Zen X-Fi, doubtful its going to be fixed on #2.

Cant they hire some of those Chinese guys that make much better "MP4" players for much less money or something? I mean this looks like its struggling to compete against even their own last generation player.

Well, I might pick 1 up in the future IF I see it at a discount price for the 32gb model. Under $200USD for a 32gb player w/good (I hope???) SQ is hard to pass up you know,.................

Well, with exchange rates, the X-Fi2 is cheaper than the iPod Nano here [Australia], so I think I'm well justified in saying "at least it's cheap".

I would have preferred the UI to be similar in layout to the old one, as its by far the best i've ever used. Why is it only an 18 bit screen?? The previous model had 16.7 million colours, and now they've made it worse!?!? It's sad to see that once again they just ignore feedback from buyers and have messed up memory card integration. This is not a step in the right direction for Creative. It's a step sideways.

At least they still make good sound cards and speakers.
Maybe they have something up their sleeve and are just using this as a distraction.

Wow, it's even worse than the P3's interface in terms of smoothness.
