Cowon not recognising computer

hello, i bought a cowon s9 on my trip to japan and i got back and tried to put music on it but i fell at the first hurdle as the device isnt being recognised. no messeges r appearing on the pc monitor. the only thing which changes it the cowon screen as it appears with "battery charging" but no usb...can anybody help me? im using windows vista premium x64. nothing appears in my computer file aswell.

try change the usb mode on the S9 and also try another usb port or even another pc

tried it on 3 other computers. two with vista and one with xp and still no responce form the S9. i tried all the ports aswell. I've decided to get a new cable and see if that makes a difference.

Have you tried the reset button on the S9?
