Hi guys,
I have an X1050. I have wifi working and can browse the web. However, I can't seem to get youtube to work via the icon on the home page. Whenever I press it, it says something like "Session to youtube has been unavailable" Resume? And when I press yes to resume, it says cannot connect to youtube. When I try to open youtube or m.youtube via the browser, no success as well. Anyone have an idea what's going on? regards, lorsban |

Hi lorsban,
I bought my x1050 just over a week ago from Amazon and had the same issue you're having. I tried changing settings, restoring default settings/format, but nothing helped. I also tried looking for a possible firmware update, but I don't believe Sony have released any, or I just could not find one. I searched the web and forums for a solution but only came across one post with the same issue, and the poster only resolved it by getting his X-Series replaced. I didn't want to waste more time with it so I contacted Amazon about the problem and they offered to send me a replacement. I received it a few days ago and all the YouTube features work fine on this new one. I'd suggest getting your X1050 replaced, but if you can't, I hope you do find a solution. Sorry I couldn't be more help. Zen |

I bought my X1060 from a Sony Style store in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (that's the country the X1060 are made). I had the same issue as reported and I sent back to Sony Service. They replaced the mother board for the unit and after that it is working perfect!
A little contribution on this subject in case anyone has the same issue. |

It might be late replying but I have the exact same problem. I recently bought a Sony X1051 from Amazon but I don't want to return it because I spent like $90 just for shipping. I've been looking for what the problem is and I think it's because Flash wasn't installed properly. I tried installing it in the Walkman but it didn't work and the firmware update didn't fix it. I'm just wondering, have you fixed the problem or it still doesn't work?
