Is there any way to check in on the updates?

A few of you guys have been great so far with keeping us posted about the dev model. Is there a way to check in on the updates without buying one yet? Or you think it would be at all possible for someone with the dev model to post the update logs as they come out?

So far there has only been one firmware update that didn't add any new apps, but simply fixed a few bugs. I don't have one, but am so interested that I cull the news from the ZiiLabs site and creative.com and zii.com as well as several web forums.

Actually, the only real improvement the update brought is that there is now a way to reinstall the firmware after formatting the player. I had to do it a couple of times because using anything else than the Zii Egg Explorer to transfer files in Windows will cause the player's content to be unreadable in Linux.

btw, upgrading or reinstalling the firmware takes about 5-10 minutes and can only be done in Windows...

I'm sure that will improve. If not, there is always virtual box.

Yes, there really isn't anything to update yet. I'm sure one of us who has it will keep peeps informed. The staff at Creative haven't been active at all lately so I hope they're just busy with development.

any word on when ish about the October update will be ready? Mid October?

I might get another HD player for video and use my wifes 32 gb zen for my music in the mean time... Just to tide me over... I have a deployment coming up very soon. So I am running out of time.
