open hidden mode of p2 ! !

The easy way to do it is to make sure the player is on hold and press the play, and volume keys multiple times until you see it appear. At this point (in that split second) let all of the buttons go EXCEPT Volume up button. Now slide the hold button down (still holding the volume+ button) and choose what you want. Be careful because apparently after you do it you can still select the options even though they don't appear on screen until you have exited the video player (don't worry everything is normal after that).

I have accessed this menu many times using this method, I hope it helps.

I wish spiral volume was an option for audio because it is so much faster and more intuitive. And the video fade out is fancy. lol

I got it to stay once by putting it on pause and clicking the volume buttons first and quickly after the power button, but I can't repeat it... When I try the double click and hold method my p2 turns itself off after 1/2 second and I'm not quick enough to slide the lock button to unlock and let go... My sense of timing is kinda crappy I guess I'll keep trying lebellium's method, I know it's possible...

you mean zoom out, the fade out is one by default, the changed option zooms it out.

Wow this is pretty interesting, too bad none of these were ever officially implemented. This seems to be just some sort of debug menu with features that never made it to an official release which kinda sucks. I wonder if there are any in previous firmwares?

Okay I got bored and curious:
1.11 Nothing as far as video or music player
3.07 and 3.15 No menu, but the memory number will toggle off and on if you double click all buttons (no hold), the zoom out will work and the spiral volume controls will work. I didn't check the spiral or zoom in 3.07 but I'm assuming...
4.13 Same as 3.XX
5.05 Same as 5.10, didn't try 5.08
