A Question About Battery Life

Hello everyone, I ordered my Cowon S9 32GB yesterday and have ever since had a question on my mind...

I figure I'm not going to use all of the memory at once, but I wanted to know how long I had because I don't know how long the rechargeable battery will last. What I mean is, I was wondering how many times I can recharge this thing before the battery starts giving out. Please tell me it'll last longer than my DS battery...

I don't know anyone that has expired their battery yet. The S9 hasn't been out long enough. It will depend on how frequently you charge it, and how long you leave it without using/charging it. I have no idea how to calculate an answer though.

While on the topic, does anyone know if it is better to charge the S9 as frequently as possible, or as infrequently as possible (letting it drain completely each time)?

Yes it is, but that doesn't make sense to me.

The general rules is, as far as I can remember, is to charge the battery when it's somewhat over 3/4 gone. Never drain it completely empty, unless under desperate measures.

Don't ask me the physics behind it, because I don't know yet.
