Guess it's the M1 for me then (unless I feel like pampering my feminine side).

Sweet all around though - and I hope the Tegra shows up, no more Z:HD for all of us then (the Z:HD's 1 saving grace).

Now, will it be the M1, or the Zii,........................

No wifi, but 3g? Hmmmm I'd expect a browser, and some better games maybe? Unless it uses android or something(which i doubt).. And it looks like he micro sd isn't integrated into the library so that's a fail.

That's the only way it'll compete w/the Z:HD IMO, as the Zune will most likely have games to (finally I hope) purchase.

Maybe they mean 3g laser sensor for the touch screen.

The Zii.
The Zii is pretty much a SmartPhone without the phone part.

So now Mp3 players are sexist too... Why Samsung, why?!

It's an odd ad, that's for sure. The R1 also apparently comes in black and possibly silver, so if your feminine side doesn't wanna play, you can have a black R1 instead.

You'd figure w/a Tegra processor that it'd get better playtime than this. I wonder how credible the source is (I haven't checked engadget as of yet).

I heard it's using 3D-UI for M1.

I got it from Korean site. It was on ZDNET Korea interview. But it's NVidia rep who said that not from Samsung. Well, if you can read Korean, here is the source.

Nice pics. I don't care how fancy the UI is. After the first week or so the love is over and the music and related media features become the point. No WiFi and half he potential is missing. Why do I say that? The players that do have WiFi already prove there is fun to be had if you're connected to the internet.

Uh-oh, I sure hope those specs on battery life turn out to be a mistake, because the P3 has around the same battery life for both audio and video minus the Tegra chipset

Let's just hope it is a mistake, and not a case of Nvidia overhyping and overestimating their product....

One of the ways the Cowon S9 gets such good battery life is that you can turn off the screen manually the second after you've started the music playing. My current Samsungs have to time out before the screen will turn off. That 15 seconds minimum is what usually consumes battery life. If they would allow an easy way to shut off the screen I don't doubt they could get 40 hours for audio play.

I suspect the DSNe can play a big role in that too, depending on what extent you use it. With it shut off, I find my Q2 puts out a wonderfully clean signal to my home stereo receiver. But using the DSNe with the headphones takes more of a battery hit, I would think.

Note the shorter charge time (2.5 hours) - my bet is with the more battery friendly chipset, they are simply putting in a smaller battery!

I agree, and that sux. I was hoping for Cowon S9 like battery specs, to say the least. This is not what I expected from a Tegra device.

Can anybody tell me the full specs of the M1. and i have a few questions:

1. does it have bluetooth?

2. will it have wi-fi and a browser?

3. does it or will it still support widgets or apps?

4. will it still support user EQ settings like the brill Samsung P3?

5. how many playlist (and songs on one playlist) can it handle?

6. any SDHC card slot?

7. does it have an accelerometer? and multi-touch?

8. improved battery life?

9. available capacity? colours?

10. tentative release date for UK or Europe?

11. external volume rocker? and speakers?
