Default Refurbished S9 Quality

I'm thinking of picking up a refurbished S9 from Cowon, but I'm not sure about it. Does anyone know what condition the refurbished S9's are in? How long can I expect it to last, compared to a new S9? Would it be better to just spend an extra $35 and get a new S9?

It depends. I had to send in my S9 and I got a refurb in return. I saw close to no difference, so I think it should be fine for you. I would save the $35 personally, but if you want the extra security, go with the new.

I have a refurb, and it's in perfect condition.

Refurb means refurbished (used), and they have them on Amazon.com (in the US).

If it's only a $35 difference then might as well get a brand spanking new one and save yourself some trouble.

What trouble? You still get the same 1yr warranty from Cowon.

Darkside do you get the same box and documentation with refurb? IT there something on the the player that tells you that it's a refurb? I got some e260 refurbs and it had a big ol' sticker saying that it was refurb.

My S9 looked brand new & all the paperwork and such was in the box. It even had a screen protector on it (the stock Cowon plastic film).
