Default ====> ABout to get the COWON s9! QUESTIONS

THinking about getting the cowon s9 but I got a few questions:

1) Does the Cowon s9 come with music organizer player sort of thing disk?

2) Will i be able to transfer limewire music and music albums I downloaded that are in WINRAR just by easily drag and drop ?

3) Is amazon the cheapest place I can get the 32 gb for $270? Is amazon 100% trustable and legit? Does it come with Original package and everything when ordering from amazon?

2) Winrar is a compressed file/files, the S9 won't know what to do w/that. You'd brick the player.

4) You already asked this question, and were told you would need to upgrade the S9's headphones.

Yea my bad
ok for the Winrar files, When I use my ZVM, I used the ZVM Series Media Explorer to transfer music to the player. I easily opened up the Winrar music album files and drag and dropped putting it into the player.

Will i be able to do that with the cowon s9?

Are you using drag & drop? Just decompress them to your folder of choice on the S9. Good to go!!!

STOP POSTING THIS EVERYWHERE!!!! No, the S9 last for a much longer time period. If 1 person has an issue, it means they have a faulty S9. Read all the other comments, and stop spamming the forum.

1ako: the battery will last easily 40 hours, and mine lasts 50. I keep my screen pretty dim and usually listen to music with no BBE+ settings on, though, so that does affect it for the better. I'd reasonably expect 45 for an average user.

I bought the 32 gb Cowon s9 from Amazon and its legit, I paid for next day shipping and got it three days later due to a screw up at UPS (go figure) but it did come in its original packaging. I would also suggest getting the Cowon branded leather case, its quite nice and protects your new player.

I found that dragging and dropping download song files to the player works very easily however a lot of times its missing its cover art (which bugs the hell out of me) but I found a solution a $20 program exsist called TuneUp Gold which works with iTunes. So you import your library of songs, drag them into the TuneUp window and ask it to fix your songs, it will put the correct tag information and album art graphics.

Hope that helps.

Oh the best part of the s9 is there is no need for conversion of most avi (divx, xvid) files.

Cowon players do not "Auto-Sync". Either use a prog like Media Monkey, or J.River Media Jukebox, or drag & drop music files to the "Music" folder on the player.

Now, start asking your questions in THIS thread.
