Was an Ipod user,lost it ,any replacement ideas?

I was ,first , a zen V plus lover..but that wonderful device was washed sadly..
afterwords i got an ipod and i lost it recently.

so I'm wondering,what do you think i should get next?

I love how the zen would let you change the background,but not a fan of the software you used to put music on it.very annoying.

I really enjoyed the ipods touch wheel though..and I would like a mix of the two.

I would really like another zen but is there anything i can get different?

Im looking for something under 150$

I DO want to get something with touch CONTROLS,not the entire screen....also,good sound quality is a must , along with easy controls and it being able to handle being dropped every now and then would be good.

I sound very demanding don't I?
Hopefully you guys can help me out!
I would LOVE to change up from the Ipod!!

Well the flash Zune fits your needs. It's touch pad is similar to the wheel on an iPod in the sense that you get some "touch" feel, but also tactile button response. It is very easy to use, the UI is simple, clean, and intuitive. Plus it sounds good as well. You can get an 8gb for around the 150 you are looking to spend.

Cowon S9, Samsung P3, Sony X1000 series. All three are excellent chioces, each w/differing features. All have EXCEPTIONAL sound quality, better than any iPod. I would know, I've owned a few myself, and I sold my Touch 2G a few days ago for a Cowon S9.

Am I the only one reading this persons post? Also I'd like to add that the Zune will let you use any pic loaded on the player to be your wallpaper.

I'm leaning more towards the zune..I really REALLY don't like touch screens.I've handled them and they just aren't for me.The cowon looks amazing in design but ...I just can't do a touch screen.

I like how the zune looks,Very promising.I like the green the best.I've handled one before but only for a moment and i simply held it...so i can't say much for how it might work.

Leaning towards the zune,the wallpaper feature would really make me happy.
Thanks to all four of you,keep the advice coming anyone else who wants to add!I've got at least a week to find that ipod..but now I'm hoping i don't!

I did forget to mention the Zune as well, so my bad. It's a great sounding player. I have a Zune 120 that me and the Mrs swap for travel time (well, now it's all her's since I have an S9 again, and the sis in law has Zune 120 #2). Just be sure to download the Zune software from zune.net and see if it's for you. Usually it's the 1 thing most people complain about. Me, I love iTunes, and the Zune software is "doable".

Check it out, then check out the Zunes. Pretty solid players!!!

Downloaded the zune software and Im very impressed so far!

Looks like I'll be looking for a zune now! Thanks guys for the help in choosing!
