Default c240 and c250 refurbs on sale again at buy.com
buy.com has refurbished 1 gig c240 for $16 and the 2 gig c250 for $20

Pretty good deal for a player with a micro SD slot.

Yes but is there a warranty? Tthe prices are almost that low on amazon.com for used and refurb C240/C250s. I've had better luck with amazon products.

They say 90 day warranty.

The refurbs I've gotten from buy.com/woot.com have looked perfect. I'd rather get a refurb than a used player.

I agree refurbs are better. But Amazon sells the C240 and C250 refurbs for $20 including shipping. So the c250 price is the same as buy.com and c240 price only $5 more. I don't see any warranty at Amazon so maybe Buy.com is better.

What refurbs have you gotten from buy.com? I got the $15 Sansa Clip and $60 Sansa View refurbs from buy.com this year. Clip works so far but the View is having problems after only 2 months. So far buy.com customer support has not been much help.

The Views always had problems though, not just the refurbs.

Apparently. Buy.com told me to contact xtremeupgrade.com about the View warranty. They didn't reply to my email. Here is a guy complaining about mp3 players from buy.com and warranty problems.

Update: buy.com gave me an RMA with a pre-paid shipping label for my View. Sounds like I will get a refund or exchange. Maybe they aren't so bad after all.
