Now, if the Altec Lansing iM414 Speaker Dock (clock radio) was on sale for half off, I'd jump on that puppy!!!! Still, the Zune Home A/V Pack w/remote for $30 is a darn great deal.

I'm not surprised. I've been seeing Zunes market down for clearance every where I shop. Suggests to me that the ZuneHD's dock port is new, and none of the current devices support it.

If it helps, I used my ZuneHD in my VAF speaker dock and in a v2 AV dock this weekend, with no problems. For HD output, you'll need the new dock, but for audio playback I experienced no problems. Of course, this isn't final product, so YMMV, but I thought this might help if you were considering accessories purchases...

Thanks, Dave. I don't suppose you've tried ZuneHD TV output through the component cables of the current A/V dock have you? I know it's not HDMI, but it's still an HD capable pathway to an HDTV.
