lebellium, what is this products placement? I've been a big Yepp fan, owned the T8, T9, Z5, T10, P2, but after going to the iTouch (given free when I bought my MacBookPro), it's very clear that Samsung has nothing to compete.

Personally I'll tell you a P2 or P3 is much better than a Touch for sound and video!
The placement is not clear. It's too expensive in relation to the P3 and offers almost nothing new. That's why it won't be sold in France for example.
From what I know, there is only one good new feature but I can't tell it of course

Good question!!!! I'm still wondering what all these players battery life specs will be. I get pretty solid playtime w/my Q2, so I'm hoping for some good news for these new baby's.

The Beat DJ feature is total useless so something really interesting, the first time on a recent Samsung mp3 player

with 3 seemingly identical players out, does this mean samsung will give up on FW updates? Because unless this, the R1 and the P3 can all somehow run on some sort of shared firmware it looks like they'll become as sloppy as they are with their phones and just forget about each product and release a new one.
Also Lebellium, is it true that we might not be getting any of the new players in "the west"? Sammy will just leave us with the P3?

haha, this does look interesting but as stated awhile back, i'm hoping samsung doesn't give up on firmware updates! hopefully, when they're done with all this secrety stuff the samsung p3 will get a major fw update.

We're not allowed to publish pictures and I'm fed up some people sign in only to publish pictures they got from a Samsung employee who doesn't know the consequences of his acts.

I noticed the 3.3" screen spec. That's surely the same 3.3" OLED we see on the Cowon S9, iriver SPINN, and Zune HD. Bluetooth looks like the same as what's on a P2 or P3.

As for WiFi, the Zune team thinks a 3.3" screen is fine for a multitouch browser. My guess is that they are aiming it right at the ZuneHD, although Cowon's S9 is the one device stealing Samsung's thunder at the moment. Put Haptic and a G-Sensor in it, keep but improve the Flash support, and you've got an S9 killer.

The Bluetooth spec also include Logic Link Control and Adaptation Protocal. To me it looks like it adds channel data support, and that suggest multi-player gaming.
