Default How easy is is to transfer videos?

Hey guys, I am looking for a player that is good to watch videos on, and this looks very good. But what I am wonderring about is how easy is it to transfer videos on to it? Do you have to convert every file before you transfer, or can you just download a movie (mostly AVI) and just transfer it? This is really important to me..thanks for your help!

the d2 must use the corret resolution AVI video, I use the JetAudio software that comes with the D2, and it works fine for me, just run every video through that, and dragndrop the output file to your d2's VIDEO directory

it's not terribly long, depends on the imput/output quality, and I haven't converted in a long time, but if it would take longer you could always set it up to convert while you're away doing something else, then add it to your D2 next time you have it with you and you're on the computer, you could also set up a conversion and add it to an SD card, then play it from your D2

I use dvdfab and it can rip a dvd just right for the d2 in about 40 min. A lot of this has to do with the speed of your PC. Once you get the settings right the D2 is killer. If you have problems finding D2 video setting look up Creative Zen vidoe formats it plays the same video at 320x240. I still think the D2 hands down the best player I have ever had.

Conversion time depends on how powerful your PC is, and if the conversion application is multi-threaded or not.

I use iLove to convert videoes (I have only tried episodes) for my D2. It can be downloaded here: http://www.softpedia.com/progDownloa...oad-93379.html

It even has it's own setting for the D2
