Hello,
I have a SONY Walkman NWZ-S769F and I added a folder containing MP3 files (in sub-folders) using Windows Explorer (Drag & Drop). 1. WalkmanMTP won't add my MP3 files in a playlist, but I can add the orginial files. Why? http://code.google.com/p/walkmanmtp/ 2. How to create JUST a playlist in my SONY Walkman without synchronising anything with my PC? I would manage the files in the SONY Walkman without synchronizing something ![]() Which software can do this? Thanks and regards. |

If, once you connect your Walkman, it shows "Connected USB (MTP)" on its screen, you can create a playlist by just selecting the songs you want and then right click and create a playlist, all in Explorer.
You can't create a playlist in the Walkman unfortunately. |

Also, after you've created a playlist on the player using Windows Explorer you can right click on it to open it. From there you can do the following with a playlist: add songs (by dragging and dropping them on to the playlist window), delete songs, and reorder the playlist.

Thank you guys,
1. I did what jilippo explained (with a PC at the university) and I haven't the command to create new playlist when I right click on a multi-file selection in the mounted player NWZ-S769F. (strange ??) Any comment? 2. Now on this PC (MS Win. XP Pro SP3) I have the command to create a new playlist. But, why the file in the playlist are not ordered as Windows do it? (OK, I can reorder them opening the playlist.) See the 1st attached screen shot. 3. Strange those playlist file: size=0 byte, dragged on the desktop then opened (with a text editor), it its a empty file. Any comment? See the 2nd attached screen shot. Thanks and regards. As far as the playlist order, based on my own experience when you add files to the playlist by dragging and dropping, they are added to the end of the playlist, after the previously added files. I hope this helps.

I'm talking of the ordered tracks when creating a new playlist. I'm not talking of the ordered tracks when adding files in a playlist. I mean: - In the player (using Win. Explorer), I select continues* files (file6, file7, ..., file10) * Continues: for files ordered by name in Windows Explorer. - I right-click on this multi-file selection and I choose the command "Create a new playlist". - I open this new playlist and the tracks are not ordered as: file6, file7, ..., file10 ?? Thanks. OK, it could take less time reordering the tracks in my playlists than writing this post ![]() Have a nice weekend. |
