Default Frozen Sansa e250

Ok, so I've had this Sansa e250 for about a year, and around the summer-time last year, when adding a new firmware update, everything seemed fine, but then it went all crazy, and eventually, showed me the bootscreen. It now just hangs there frozen, and it won't do anything unless i hold the power button for 8 seconds to shut it off.

I've attached a picture showing my problem...

Any help?

I've had no luck with Recovery mode, plus I don't understand how to use the manufacturing mode... Any help for the e200tool for manufacturing mode?

Basically you can use e200tool to load the recovery mode code into memory, and then launch it. Once you're in recovery mode, you can install a new firmware.

How far along those steps were you? Did you manage to run e200tool?

Sorry for bumping this old Thread, but after a year, it STILL WON'T WORK.

Here's a better detailed problem:

This Sansa had gone through 3 firmware updates, the first 2 contained the classic "SanDisk" startup, the last 1 containing the special Startup with the monster. The first few hours with the last update went well, but there was an odd thing I spotted. Whenever I turned it back on, there was no Startup screen, went straight to the menu. Well, one time when I DID turn it on, I saw a bunch of green ass lines and it was blinking in and out, looking as if it was broken. It snapped out, the screen was just BLACK, it shut off. And then when I booted it back up. BAM! Frozen ever since. The above method, i was confused on how to use, so I had no luck. Here's a bit of problems I have.

1. When in Recovery mode, there is no full Black screen, just the text, and it does not show the "Welcome to Recovery Mode", it just tells me to insert USB cable or if it's plugged in.

2. Nomatter what "HELP" files I put onto it, IT NEVER updates or does anything, despite saying Update completed. Even if it's something like Sansa.fmt

3. Will only Shut off the power button is held down for atleast 8-10 seconds.

What can I do?
