I was using my E260 in Rockbox one day, and the next time I booted without rockbox I got this error "Not enough space for music DB. Please free 6MB."
If I click "Files" in rockbox, it freezes. I cant see any songs. If I connect to PC in MSC mode, the PC sees the drive but it's inaccesible.. It says both drives are 0MB and I can't create anything on either of them. I tried recovery mode and it formats, then it writes the loader, then reading image writing image and it freezes at this point... it's as if nothing can access the main memory any more.. but the info still says how many MB i have free. Any ideas what I could do? If I go to INFO it says 3800MB out of 3800MB free (or some value close to that) I have Ubuntu installed already so I can try anything but no idea what to do since the recovery mode works..just freezes at writing image Last edited by Chris Poe; 06-02-2009 at 10:36 PM. |

It sounds like the onboard flash is either broken or contains badly corrupted data. You could try running recovery mode via e200tool (essentially e200tool loads the firmware into RAM without touching the flash first), which will help if the problem is that your recovery mode code on the disk is corrupted. If its just bad memory obviously that won't do anything.
