Default MicroSD not recognized

running recent version r20922-090513

just installed 8GB microSD card and my e260 is still showing up as 4GB in Windows Explorer. Appreciate help - shouldn't I be seeing 4 + 8 GB ? Am I missing a step, etc?

TIA

You should still see the your e260 as 4GB because thats all it is. You'll see a second drive thats 8GB for your MicroSD.

Also, keep in mind the original firmware can't read SDHC, so it will never show up in the original firmware, only rockbox.

Thanks! Do I need to do something special to invoke Rockbox control over the USB? In normal mp3 mode, the e260 boots into Rockbox. In USB, I still see the old "connected" screen like the original Sansa.

Yes, I am seeing a second drive in Windows Explorer but it shows up as 0MB and prompts me to load a disk into the drive etc.

As I said above, you can't use microsd cards in the original firmware.

Beautiful! That's what I was missing. Boot then plug and not vice versa. Thanks much.
