Thanks Lestatar, the pics were taken in Pinzgau/Salzburg, and East Tyrol - both regions sharing the Hohe Tauern National Park.

It's just tree stumps with moss in the one photo. The lake is called Hintersee, its depth varies a lot depending on rain/snow.

BTW, hope you're taking some nice photos in Hong Kong.

lol...Any pictures I do take in HK will pale in comparison. HK is simply a very different vista - the locations in your shots are so majestic. Not to mention that what I do is take simple snapshots - you and others here actually compose pictures.

No time yet to take any of my crappy photos [all biz], but my stay has been extended by 2 more weeks and I do hope to at least spend a day or so near the end snapping a few shots.

Again, really incredible shots dfkt

Nice shots gang.

Went camping this weekend. Damn raccoons were pests, lol. As you can see, the tote with our food is upside down on the bench, and the rock we had on top is on the ground behind the red chair. I was awakened at 1:00am to the noise of the rock hitting the metal bench. Was awake from then on. Couldn't get back to sleep. Anyways, I opened up the tent door, and snapped this photo:

I've always wanted to go camping.
That's a pretty big rock.

I put 2 big rocks on there after that. It was a so so time. I love to go camping, but it got down to 29° Friday night. We prepared for it, but woke up with a splitting headache. Kinda ruins a vacation.

Old water hydrant at the campgrounds:

The Tauern must be quite the sight for a Belgian used to a rather flat landscape.

We belgians don't tend to stay in our country, so most of us have seen at least the alps. I haven't been there this year, but in the summer of 2009 i made these in switzerland, on a summercamp with 13-14 yr olds:

I meant, it must be quite overwhelming seeing these mountains the first time. I know they still make me feel all dizzy, every time I leave the city and go into the mountains.
