I'm getting around to finally having a crack at photoshop; at the moment I'm trying to optimize colour, before moving onto more difficult edits. I don't mind these:

I like the above, all I did was increase and brighten the blue, I think it makes the chopper stand out more, as well as the white clouds.

I do like the above, but I am re-thinking the colour of the tree. I think that might disappear in my next edit... Opinions??

I love this photo, so simple, but awesome (i think )

Found a strip of negatives on the street... that doesn't happen often anymore, in this digital age. It doesn't tell the greatest of stories, but the photos made me at least chuckle a bit.

Copeys, That's a really nice sunrise!

Yuki, I like how you present ordinary things.

So my mom got a Canon SX20, which is an SLR-like point and shoot with 20x zoom.

It is very fun to use, the viewfinder is great (never used a real one before), and it feels very nice, but the controls and the image quality (quite a bit of noise, especially at iso400+) aren't quite as good as my S90. To be honest, I don't see the need for all that zoom, I rarely used more than the 4x my camera has when using it. But the viewfinder and feel really is great...makes me want an SLR.

Anyway, here are some images from it:

Here's the full set: http://www.flickr.com/photos/boulder...7623719199655/

View some full size, you'll see the noise I'm describing. The S90 has far better high iso performance.

Heh, same way too warm AWB as your S90... But yeah, one doesn't even have to open the full-size pics to see the difference in quality. 10MP >>> 15MP. And it obviously doesn't correct barrel distortion like the S90 does for JPEGs, as well.
