Love the carnival photos Yuki (shame you guys didn't get any good rides though :P), and dfkt the water in that third one is awesome.

I went through my 2006 carnival photos last night, and found some decent ones I hadn't uploaded. Then I ruined them with Picnik, Flickr's editing tool. These were all taken full auto, hand held. Makes me miss my A610.

The perfection of the last one still blows me away. Especially considering how the shot happened, with what kind of camera.

Brought my tripod out tonight...Although I forgot something to set white balance (tried using my paper train schedule but it didn't work so well) so tint is a bit off in some of them. One day/night when it's warmer I'm going to do some proper rail-faning and wait out more trains, but it was a little too cold tonight so standing in one spot kinda sucked. But anyway, pics:

Thanks. That was the first night in Venice, it was very foggy. The following nights were clear... I wish they would've been scary foggy too.

A trip I took last Summer to Picos de Europa National Park in North of Spain.

The third one is very sharp and detailed, especially for that range of camera. I like the colors of it a lot too.
