When do you think there will be a price drop?

Hey, I'm looking into getting a 16 GB S9 but I don't want to order it just yet if a price drops looms in the near future. I don't need it ASAP, I'd just like to get it within the next 2-3 months or so, so what do you guys think? Any price drops coming soon?

Also, can somebody post clear pictures showing the differences between the color schemes on the S9? I'm confused by all the different color labels and pictures on sites that display multiple color schemes for only one color that they're selling. Thanks.

I wouldn't count on any price drop, but if you don't need it urgently then you can always be patient and hunt for a good deal.

Ebay is your friend, and sometimes a really good deal can be had. Do a search, you might get lucky.

Prices in New Zealand have already started dropping since release. To the tune of up to $50. ($430NZD to $380NZD) so now would probably be a perfectly decent time to buy. I doubt it would drop as low as a D2.

In life the Titanium version (only available color here) is not nearly that ugly shade of brown that the pictures make it out to be. Supposedly the Chrome/Black version is an additional fingerprint magnet. The Titanium version doesn't have that issue. The Titanium version is virtually black anyway, if I had to name the color I would probably say a form of black, not quite piano black but getting there. Very dark slate gray. The sides are sort-of 'sparkle' silver (definitely not brown). By that I mean there are very small spots in the paint they use that reflects tiny amounts of light. It's by no means a disco ball though, however cool that would be. The player looks classy regardless of the scheme you choose so don't lose sleep over it.

Thanks for those color scheme side by side comparisons and that description of how it looks in real life. I was worried about getting an ugly brown color, but the real life picture looks pretty good too. I'll be glad with whichever color I get now, thanks.

titanium tends to look grey if you're in the right lighting. (cooler than the chrome version even though i prefer the chrome's looks overall)

So which color do you think most people think is better? I like that the Titanium is less of a finger print magnet, but I like the smooth black look and the shinier sides of the Chrome.
