Default Zen MX: Creative being very "un-creative"...

well was perusing engadget and stumbled upon this

basically it looks like the Creative ZEN reissued...while I actually like the ZEN, Creative really needs to step up their game, their last few releases haven't been that phenomenal (my opinion, if it offends, I apologize)...

Default Creative Zen MX

Looks like creative are releasing a new player called creative zen mx which is very similar to the creative zen.

Why do they even bother!

I liked the Zen- probably the best interface of them all, and very user-friendly. But they screwed up with The SD card. Creative and cutting-edge technology don't go together these days.

Default WARNING: Creative's New Zen Unleashed (stripped down of course)

Apparently there is a new Creative Zen unleased on the unsuspecting today. According to Engadget http://www.engadget.com/2009/04/28/c...ls/1#c18544306

It's not positive either. So be prepared for a little spike in activity in the atbi forums. Apparently the X-Fi had it's prices cut too - might make the pill easier to swallow once you find out they fleeced you.

Anyhow, thought I would post this more to be complete (on the Zen) than anything. I'm sure atbi will be posting a review shortly.

So they are releasing the same ZEN player I have but this time they actually gave it a name instead of just ZEN lol , I'm even more glad now that I'm moving up to the Cowon O2.It seems like after their Vision M was released, Creative lost their creativeness.

I wonder if Creative are browsing these sorts of forums... if so... Bring back the ZVM!!!

Not this revamped Zen MX, whose name is made to sound like the ZVM. Anyone see a marketing ploy???

Check out the Cowon section of the forum, you'll find quite a bit of info.

What is wrong with Creative? If they listened to anybody they'd know that they need a ZVM replacement. They should produce something amazing, like a 64gb flash player or a wi-fi touchscreen or something instead of just releasing the same player with LESS features. Surely they should be improving their current lineup, not making it worse

Creative just isn't living up to their name anymore, they should make a flash player to replace the Vision W or make something to replace the Vision M with the touch pad.

I think so too, they are designing their products to keep with the leader in the market instead of a competitor, like the ZVM was.

They most certainly aren't. They should be improving their products and listening to what the customer wants, but they seem to be doing neither
