Default Sansa e260 won't play Rhapsody Music

Hi All: I'm new to this forum and Rock Box. I installed Rock Box on a Sansa e260. It also has a 2 GB microSDHC.

The only thing Rock Box would see/play are non-Rhapsody mp3's I loaded onto the microSDHC.

I then, in Windows XP, got into the Rhapsody files, changed them to 'unhidden'.

Rock Box could then see the files. Initiating Database, seemed to do nothing.
And, when I went to play a Rhapsody MP3, it would just try to play for a second and then go onto the next MP3. Do the same thing??

Anybody have any idea??

Thanks in advance,

SuperGeeky

Most Rhapsody files are encrypted to prevent playback in anything but Rhapsody. If you want to play them, you must use Rhapsody and not rockbox.

That explanation makes sense. Rhapsody has each device registered for playing music. In Rock Box, it's probably like a unregistered device, hence the encryption or encrypted key to play.

What a shame I was really appreciating what I was seeing so far, in Rock Box.

Thanks,

SG
