Not enough space for music DB please free 8MB

My Sansa m230. How do I do this? I tried to format it but it doesn't work. Is there some type of program that I can use to fix this?

I just came across your post. I'm not familiar with the m230..I'm a e200/Fuze guy. Since its a Sansa does it have MTP/MSC modes?. If so you should be able to put it into MSC mode and format it with Windows...like a hard drive.

As a general rule you should leave enough room for the database to maintain itself. I usually leave 25-50MB free depending on how much music I have on my players.
