The recent press release from Samsung implies a firmware update, as it says the P3 will support WAV files. I currently have v2.07, which still does not support the WAV files I've uploaded (standard MS 44.1 kHz/16 bit). Hopefully this will also include subscription support that they keep touting.

Would be much better if they supported FLAC instead - twice the music, half the space needed. Samsung is one of the last companies to not have proper support for at least one lossless format on (most of?) their players.

I am confused by both of these posts. The P3 does support FLAC. So just convert *losslessly* your wav file and it will play (and take up less space).

Yikes I thought the P3 supprted Flac too.
I thought I heard it mentioned on some reviews and spec sheets. Yes I can confirm Flac support, its written in the manual.

Mine supports FLAC files, but I have a lot in WAV - just hate having multiple versions for different players...

Convert them all to FLAC, it uses half the space of WAV, supports tags, and is recognized by almost any decent player nowadays.
