Japanese Gigabeat S30 with no radio?

I just bought a new (beleive it or not) Gigabeat S30 from Japan, and I noticed that there is no "My radio" option in the main menu....

I read the User Manual available on Gigabeat's Australian site, and it clearly shows that the S30 and S60 both have an FM radio.

Is there a difference between the Gigabeat S for the Japanese market and the one for the international market? If so, is this a hardware difference, or just software? Can I add FM radio functionality by flashing a different firmware or something?
