Default Ripping Audio from DVD's

I've got a live dvd of the black keys that i want to rip the audio to an mp3 format so that i can play it in my car. Does anyone know of a program that can rip just the audio from a dvd?

I don't know of any program that will do that. However, you could rip the VOBs, and then use http://neuron2.net/dgmpgdec/dgmpgdec.html to extract the audio. From there, you can run it through an mp3 encoder.

Also, do a search on download.com, you MIGHT get a few hits. And, as WalkGood has stated, some will be for sale & some might be free.

It's a rather complicated process to do a good rip in my experience.

I used X... DVD Audio Ripper to get my Led Zep dvd into mp3. That was an absolute doddle. Or rip the .vob's and convert to mp3 using SUPER or something else free. I thought it was gonna be difficult. But it's not.

Ripping the audio from a DVD-Audio disc on the other hand is a bit harder. I still haven't managed that. Not that I've tried all that much though.

I just rip them to a video codec, then import into Windows movie maker and jsut move it into the "Audio section" and save/publish. Does it all for you if you don't want to download anything extra
