The UI is nice and the video is good quality. I havent put in high res stuff on though so I cant say for sure it plays them well.

I am gonna upload video on youtube tonight.

Thanks for posting the video! I've been wondering about this player, the interface looks nice and pretty.

Thx Kobashi....

I was pretty excited about this player.... almost ordered it but the photo viewer responsiveness was a turnoff. Hopefully there will be a firmware upgrade soon.

It must be the size and resolution of the files as when using the standard 480x272 resolution pictures that Iriver put on the player it is much quicker.

Yes, photos dumped to any player at the full resolution of a typical camera will slow load times immensely.

kobashi.... few questions guy...
what resolution are the pics you loaded.... how much faster were the preloaded pics. Did you have to convert your videos... or load as is. Can you bookmark the text files? How many playlists can you have... can you create them on the fly? Is the battery life as good as stated? lastly will the player work as UMS... just drop and drag files (mac user)?

All the WMV, AVI and RMVB videos so far have worked with no conversion. I have tested 800x400 RMBV Video and it run very smoothly. Also 720x480 xvid played smooth, I not sure how how high this player can handle the bitrates though to be honest.

I not sure how many playlists as I have only created one. I pretty sure you can not do these on the fly though. You have to use Iriver plus although I havent tried using Media Monkey or Widows Media Player to create playlists. You can create a quicklist on the fly.

I am just looking at the resolution of the pics and they are 2816x2112 so kinda big files.

And yes you can just drag and drop with this player. Just tried bookmarking on text files and yes you can bookmark multiple pages of different text files.

I'm jealous, kobashi. My P7 will be here wednesday. I've been hoping Cowon would add h.264 playback to it's S9 since I've got a slew of videos in that format. They haven't yet, though. Have you tried any h.264 files on yours yet?
