im pretty sure i lost the charger for my s9 and i dont remember wat type of charger it was. could someone tell me wat the name of it was, or even better post a link to where i could buy one? thanks

^ when u said expensive I was thinking $15-$20 but $6.99 is far from expensive for a usb cable (especially one as rare as this)

We (Gomadic) just released a full line of chargers (and accessories) for the Cowon S9 (better late than never i suppose!). They are not generic USB chargers, but rather have dedicated cables. We have car chargers, wall chargers, AA battery chargers, etc. If there is anything that you would like to see that we are missing, please let us know and we can look in to adding that to our directory.

cayeldo, yes, I just checked out the site and am a bit confused. I picked the international wall ac charger but there don't seem to be any other tips available. If the devices use tip exchange then where would I find the optional cigarette lighter adapter for charging in the car or plane?

As far as I can tell, they only sell the players, not the cables

Oh! I can't believe I left out that detail. I live in Canada, the friendly neighbours to the north! It's also not an urgent issue, I'm just curious about it, just in case I ever need a replacement cable, that's all.

gleipnir, go with gomadic or jetmall. Gomadic is a better option since they sell everything and use tip exchange so you can use the same cable with an alternate tip for charging through a power source, cigarette lighter, etc. I actually contacted them recently about an international power charger and wanted to know why they promote tip exchange but don't offer a cigarette lighter tip for one of the configurations I was looking at. Still, gomadic should have what you want or you can email jetmall directly and tell them that you looked at the canadian retailers but none of them are selling accessories, which is what you need. Do let us know how everything works out for you.
