Both the TV and clown pics are from Poltergeist as dfkt dun said. I also mirror the gasp, comparison of solid classic vs crappy remake of foreign horror shame! hehe

That's how Tim Curry looks without makeup.

Agreed, when I saw "It" as a teenager, it scared the hell out of me.

I couldn't ever bring myself to watch it, having read the book multiple times.....in my experience, the vast majority of movie adaptations don't measure up to the books.

Like so many other lists of this type, I skimmed through that one and was appalled at how wrong some of their rankings were.....in my opinion, of course.

That list is so stupidly arbitrary, it's not even good for a laugh - it's just sad.

imdb lists in general suck. imdb is good for one thing, who played with who in which movie... and it sucks at this task as well.

That list is pretty bad, there several movies that aren't horror(The Crow, american psycho, Event Horizon, predator, sixth sense, ect) on that list and there are a lot of turds(drag me to hell(2009), all the underworlds.

^ agree, most imdb lists [most lists like that in general] are crap. However, I would still put Event Horizon on there as horror - in my book it does cross genres

Ok I saw Martyrs and did not enjoyed it.
I think Audition/Paranormal Activity/1408 type of movie are much better.
I think SAW series will end with 7th edition(as everyone dies).

Martyrs is not for everyone...indeed, it is quite a difficult movie to watch, especially the last 1/3. Still, I think it is a superior film in this genre. Did you know it was banned in a few countries for a number of years?

Audition is one of my fave films though! And Paranormal Activity was very creepy in places, especially watching alone and in the dark

I watched Martys as well as Audition alone in midnight.
In Audition I liked when the girl was waiting for phone call and bag moves(there was sudden sound in night).
Martyr was just in bad taste YMMV. It may have resemblance to some true incidence.
Big world and too many things happen.
I like kind of suspense in horror movies.
