Default Any chance of a PDF viewer on the S9?

Hi folks,

Do you think there is any chance of a PDF viewer being implemented in a future firmware release? Or does anyone know of any flash based PDF viewer that might be compatible? There is a nice sized screen on the thing, and being able to view PDF files on the device while commuting would be great.

No. Doesn't mean it won't eventually be possible, but the S9 doesn't come with that capability.

You can also convert them to flash, it works for me.
It even lets you zoom in and out, but it's a little slow though, at least for a full page of pictures and text.

swftools.org

For some reason, only the pdftoswf_gui.exe file works, but that's enough for me.

EDIT: Make sure you convert it and save it to your hard drive first, I noticed it works then, but doesn't work(at least without the gui) if you save it directly to your S9.

@ Brood Mage:

Would you care sharing your settings in pdftoswf_gui.exe?
I cannot make it work with my S9, it keeps freezing.. and the horizontal display instead of the vertical one? Thx a lot!

I would prefer a text to speech program better.

Wow..never thought of changing the options lol.
Well, hopefully I'll be able to make it work faster then, I just used the default settings and it worked fine.

You can convert the PDFs to Flash paper. It will become an SWF file which can be viewed on S9 without an issue then!

If you have Adobe Flash software (not the flash player in browser) then you can create Flash Paper from that. Or have a look here for a free way to do it.

Conversion worked super. I loaded the swf file into the cowons flash folder, but when I try to use it cowon starts the system (same as when you turn it on) and appears back in the menu. Do you know where is the problem?

Hi

I'm also interested by a pdf reader this is may be one of the most important feature for me

Does anyone have a screenshot or a video of the pdf reader in action

Is it useful, in fact I want to read my news paper or some pdf articles in the tube

Thanks in advance
