Default Walkman Type... S/A/E(/B) is there any difference?

Ok this may sound stupid. I have read through a few pages (and of course, using that search button)

Based on what I've read, all sony walkman have great sound and have not much different.
Is this also apply to the difference between S/A/E(/B) Sound quality?
Note that I'm asking this in condition that it's being used flat, Without using EQ or anything and using non stock IEM/Buds.

Well the point is, if I really don't need the EQ (Not clear bass, not even the other, just FLAT) nor the additional function (Noisecancelling, Bluetooth, SensMe, whatever), is it okay to go for, like, the cheap E430 Series rather than S630 series?
Apart from the volume issue, of course.

Or is there a difference in the basic sound quality between those Type?

Thank you.
