Some fires are believed to be arson, others not, as evidence comes through. I just can't comprehend why someone would do such a terrible thing. The man caught will be put away for life, as all the deaths occurring from the fires arsons lit, will be charged as murder.

It truly is a tragedy. The Red cross have set up a donation, where all proceeds are going to the victims. Since Sunday, $34.8 Million has been donated. Thats a lot of money for just several days. My school tomorrow is holding a mufti-day to raise money for the victims - just one of the many fund raisers occurring. Donation tins are everywhere, and even at my local supermarket, these tins are full of $50 notes.

181 people have now perished, with fears that number could soon climb to 300.

In one town alone, 100 people, (1/5 th of the population) are believed to be dead.

yeah cross the road and you do get those crocodiles kangaroos and sand! lol. its only a town of 10,000. So basically, you know everybody. The local paper is more of a gossip mag . Ill try and track down some photos of a dust storm that rolled through here a few yrs ago, show you some real dust, from the red centre

How can you tell?!? I like the one where a lounge is burning... whats the go with that? lol. We have a total fireban for half the year, and I think it lifts soon, thank god cause its been getting cold!

I know its autumn but it seems to me that our summers peak during December when they usually peak during February, and the same with winter; peaking during june when it used to peak during july/august. Like today i wore a bluey, would never have worn one till after anzac day, but its getting that cold its necessary!

That old chair was falling apart, and even though it was still comfy, the stuffing was falling out, and it was kind of a fire hazard.....scary since I used to drink whiskey and smoke cigarettes in it in my partying days. It's amazing I never burned myself alive. So when I cleaned up my act, I decided what better way to get rid of the chair than burning it? Plus it was free to burn it, and the landfill would have cost money.
