For $44, you'd think Sony earbuds would be much better quality. However when I pressed play on my Creative Zen 8 GB with these earbuds plugged in, it sounded like utter garbage. There was zero bass and I had to crank the sound to almost all the way up to hear anything decently.
I know it's the earbuds because the Zen sounds just fine with its default earphones. I just hope Radioshack will let me either exchange these or refund or something. I still have the receipt and all the packing materials, though the box is rather shredded. Either way, just avoid mixing this type of earphone with a Creative Zen. They are not compatible! Also, can anyone recommend good earbuds for the Creative Zen 8 GB? Thank you. Last edited by OmegaWolf747; 02-01-2009 at 01:35 PM. Reason: addendum |

I agree. Had a pair myself for a while. However, keep in mind the MDREX55 is an IEM and not regular earbuds, so having the correct seal in your ear is critical.
If you are wanting a good set of inexpensive IEM's, look at the EP-630 or the EP830 from Creative. If you are wanting the earbud type, check out this thread and the Headphones section here. Edit; Moved to correct sub-forum.
