Putting Movies On My YP-Q1

I recently bought a Samsung YP-Q1, and installed EmoDio on my computer to do the downloads with. Music downloads fine. However, when I try and download a movie, it won't work. The Emo Dio program converts the movie file to .svi, but when I try to put it on the MP3 player, it won't go. It shows that the MP3 is connected, and EmoDio shows the transfer is taking place (alternating arrows in the bottom right corner), but nothing is going on the MP3 player, even after a lenghty period of time.

Any suggestions?

Have you tried clicking on the arrows to see what is happening? Are you under the videos tab in the mp3 player window? (not sure if that makes a difference or not) After it converts, do you click to transfer it again? And finally, how long is the video?

The video is 2 hours 23 minutes long. When I clicked the arrows, it shows what percentage has been transferred to the MP3 player, however, that is always reading 0%. There are no error messages, or anything like that. I've left it for 2 - 3 hours, and it always shows 0% has been transferred.

That seems very strange, I honestly do not know what the problem is. Unless you do not have room on the Q1 for the video (ya I know, that probably isn't it, but it's all I can think of at the moment).

Here's my solution, and it worked fine! I took back the Q1 for a refund, and bought a Sony Walkman MP3. It works great, and everything is easier to transfer to it.

I had a same problem when I have converted file for YP-Q1. But then when I have converted for YP-Q1(MTP) It worked.

MTP is for Europe / Northern America / Australia (from Samsung Site)

After a nice 30 minute google search I found this thread!

I have the same issue, on a clean install of Vista, with a brand new Q1

It just stays on 0% when trying to convert a normal .avi file?

I have the codecs to play it on both the PeeCee and it does also play on EmoDio no problems.

However when converting to .svi its stuck.

Ive checked my firmware which is currently 1.33 and its converted for YP-Q1(MTP) *doesnt even let me change it*

So any ideas? Ive just manually downloaded the new firmware but dont hold out much hope?

So how long does a normal 'film' of say 2 hours take to convert and transfer to the Q1?

Did you know that you could use windows 7 to convert avi to wmv, as in u just drag and drop into the movies folder of the q1?
