Problem with sansapatcher

I use Ubuntu and when i try to install sansapatcher on my sansa i have an error.

Code used in the terminal (in root) :

cd $HOME
  chmod +x sansapatcher
  ./sansapatcher

And the error :

root@Vals-PC:/home/vals38# cd $HOME
root@Vals-PC:~# chmod +x sansapatcher
chmod: ne peut accéder `sansapatcher': Aucun fichier ou dossier de ce type
root@Vals-PC:~# ./sansapatcher

Why did you use the warranty? Did you know there is three version of the e200 series. Since I do not know what that is in English, I do not know what is going on.

Edit: I tried a French to English translator, and it sounds like you are not in the right folder with sansapatcher.
