Can't you download it from RCA? They've got firmware there for my ancient RD1022 (64 megs!!!!!! and an SD slot that works up to 2 gigs!!!!!!!!!! and a battery I can replace when I'm biking round the back side of a mountain). I just wish it remembered track position when it resumed.

Maybe because you're searching Lira and not Lyra.

Make sure it's the right model number, but that should be it. I used to have a Lyra(256MB). It was fun, and the SD slot is great. If they would have made Folder browsing possible, it would be a great budget DAP, despite the outdated screen and sub-par sound quality.
Player: Generic Philips GoGear 4GB(Sounds decent though)
Headphones: Koss KSC-75 and JVC Marshmallow
